Woodcut Workshop
We’re happy to announce our first woodcut workshop at Hot Shops coming in April. A great class for getting to know the medium or a refresher. We’ll start with a small black and white image then move on to a reduction (three color limit) print.
All materials are provided, we do have a few carving tools but would suggest you purchase your own so you can work at home, if needed. (A small hand carving set can be found at Woodcraft of Omaha.) The workshop is $300 and can be paid in full the first evening or in increments over the first three weeks. We’ll meet Tuesdays 6:30 – 8:30 the following dates:
April 16, 23, 30
May 7, 14

Central College

Open Studio at Hot Shops Art Center
After several years at the Midco Building we decided to move back ‘home’ to the Hot Shops Art Center. As great as the big bright space was over at Midco, we missed being around an art community. Hot Shops has evolved into a nonprofit center that fosters education, collaboration, and community outreach. Frequently offering classes, tours, and community events, the energy at Hot Shops has inspired us and we’re so excited to be back in the building. Come visit us during the upcoming open studios or feel free to schedule an appointment with Judy or Amy.
Open House is
Saturday, December 2, 11:00 – 7:00
and
Sunday, December 3, 11:00 – 5:00pm.
You can find us on the second floor, studio 209.

Opening Reception
Amy will have a handful of her newer collage type works at an upcoming exhibit at Anderson O’Brien. The Small Works show will include artists currently represented by AoB gallery, with the criteria that all pieces need to be 12 inches or smaller.
Opening reception is also December 1st 5:00 – 8:00
